How Often: Ideally daily.
It is essential to add chemicals to your pool to ensure that the water is safe for bathers and to create and maintain comfortable bathing conditions. BioGuard Supreme Chlorinated Concentrate is the ideal product to sanitise the water and keep it free from bacteria growth. Chlorine needs to be present in your pool water 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to protect the health of those using the swimming pool.
The goal is to keep the chlorine level between 1 - 3 mg/l (ppm), but our advice would be to aim for the 3mg/l (ppm) level so you have a 'buffer' to cope with weather and more swimmers using the pool.
BioGuard Supreme Chlorinated Concentrate should be dosed frequently enough to maintain the correct chlorine level at all times. Please use your test kit or strips to see if you need to add any BioGuard Supreme Chlorinated Concentrate.
Please refer to the Chemical Treatment Summary page for further information on dose rates for your pool. |

Question:
How long do I have to wait between different chemical additions to my pool?
Answer: Thoroughly read and follow all safety and application instructions on each product container before use. Then, as a general guide, you should allow at least one (1) hour between different chemical additions.
Question:
I have just added chemicals to my pool, when can I start using it?
Answer: With the pump running, allow a minimum of 2 - 3 hours for the chemicals to be thoroughly circulated throughout your pool. Re-test your pool using the 4-way test strips and as long as the pH and sanitiser (chlorine) levels are within the recommended ranges, the pool can then be used.
