How often: Initial dose, then once a week
Initial Dose: When starting up a pool in spring. After partial/full drain and re-fill. If a maintenance treatment is missed.
Algae are microscopic forms of plant life that can multiply very quickly in pool water turning it into a green 'duck pond'. To help in the prevention of algae, an initial dose (see above) followed by a weekly addition of BioGuard Algae Inhibitor is strongly recommended. This will act as an additional 'back-up' for the pool in the fight against algae.
Please refer to the Chemical Treatment Summary page for further information on dose rates for your pool.
