Safety should always be a top priority both in the pool and around the poolside. Allow us to give you important information to make certain that chemicals are handled correctly. Make sure you read all our advice to ensure a safely equipped swimming pool.
when.handling.chemicals
  • Ensure containers are labelled.
  • Read and follow container instructions.
  • Never contaminate chemicals or mix chemicals in the same container.
  • Add chemicals to water, not water to chemicals.
  • Close containers after use.
  • Store chemicals in a secure location. Keep away from children and animals.
  • Do not inhale fumes or allow product to come into contact with eyes, skin or mouth. Wash hands after treating your pool.
  • Avoid spillage. In case of spillage dispose of in a safe manner.
  • Do not put chemicals in a dustbin, skip or down the drain. If in doubt, contact your BioGuard dealer.
  • Dispose of empty chemical containers after rinsing them out in the pool.

  • We recommend displaying signs to show pool depth and pool regulations.
  • Safety equipment - a lifebuoy and first aid kit should be available.
  • Ensure an experienced swimmer is present when children or non-swimmers are in the pool.
  • Do not use outdoor pools in an electrical storm.
  • Do not use electrical appliances near the pool.
